| The symbol above has carved on my works for several years as an autograph of mine. This year, I asked my friend to design a new symbol mark. This is made a brand, and it is being used from this private exhibition.  At present, though it isn't being used disappointingly
at all.The autograph said like this was called "KAOU", and it had been used as the handwritten seal since the old days. |

| I have mainly design and craft boxes such
as a coffer and a @chest due to my favorite on closed shape. Various kinds of woods have been used in my work, but nowadays I mainly use pine for the effective representation of finishing work such as Japanese lacquer, pine resin, and BENGARA(Iron Oxide) |
| These years, I use brass for hardware , since
there are few of my taste, if any, I cannot put them to my works freely. A brass-board is clipped, and a hinge and a clasp are being made by burner-work. I design hinges and latches for every work, making reference to curiosities in Europe or those during "Ri dynasty" in Korea. I would like to ask someone to make metal parts. Until that, I should make them by myself even though I am not good at metal work. Even if it is entrust to the metal crafter, the result that they can understand each other isn't brought about. @@@... Even if it is poor, work is the best method. I would like to design much more artistic one, but something prevents me from going that way. It bothers me every day. |
