Lecture and practice

	Undergraduate
	The course aims on cultivation of leaders on woodworks. The course consists of four parts. In fourth year (senior) students engage on research work. It is useless, even if it is carrying out only self-conclusion type work, in order to gain practice power. The feature of this laboratory is cooperation with the "open class" for general members of society.
	I　Exercise on basic woodwork 　Students learn the basic molding with wood aimed on the art at junior high school 　 　 　・Basic wood processing 　Students learn the basic skill on woodwork aimed on the polytechnics at junior high 　school II Applied wood work 　・Students manufacture chairs with simple structure and furniture with laminated lumber 　　by way of trial for the work which will be manufactured at “Open Course”. 　　Every students design and manufacture by themselves according to their skills. 　　There are some limitation of manufacturing by period of course and a number of students. A right-hand side chair is the reference work actually made by the open class. 　　 　　　　↑ One on left-hand side is my reference. ←The right is a student's work. III Woodwork method of instruction and exercise on woodwork ・This class is directly linked with the open class. Students learn practically the 　management of a woodwork class by preparing the materials and maintaining process 　machines and edged tools. The students who finished this class could be stuffs of open class, if they want, and are in charge of a participant's support. Students learn the “management of class” through the practice on real class management. 参加した学生からは「いかに勉強不足かを実感した．．．、毎週とても刺激的で充実感がある、受講者の意欲に圧倒された、学習したことに実感をもてる」と好評です。参加した学生達が授業の中でリーダーシップを取るようになりました また受講者とも仲良くなり幅広い人間関係を作ることが出来ます 　 �W木材工芸課題研究 　・通常の授業は半期（前／後期）ですが、この授業は通年（1年）で行われます 　・各自、自分のテーマを設定し作品制作や技術的な研究を行います 　・この授業は一般に開放されており、社会人の履修も可能です。したがって公開講座へ参加した方　は、この授業で更に制作を続ける、あるいは技術的なサポートを受けることが可能です　 �X卒業研究 　　・１年間を通して自ら研究テーマを設定し、論文あるいは作品の制作を行います 　　（卒業研究は論文だけではなく、作品制作によっても認められています）
	◇小学校教員養成用の授業　（図画工作） 　内容研究　及び　造形表現 　小学校図画工作の”工作”部分を土・紙・木と言った内容をそれぞれ専門の教官がオムニバスで授業を行います 　　 ここ数年，私のところではまず小刀を買ってもらい鉛筆削りから始めます。そしてカタカタヒコーキ，竹とんぼ，カッポン鉄砲などの子供たちが「早く作れて，楽しく遊べる」工作教材の実習と研究をしています 基本的に私は課題の設定をするだけで，後は学生同士，試行錯誤しながら工作をし， 内容を綿密に「指導のレシピ」（制作手順と指導の留意点）へ記録してもらいます 例：上右：カッポン鉄砲（粘土や角切り野菜を突き刺して飛ばします，子供たちに大受け！）
	中央：カタカタ飛行機（簡単な工作でクルクル回る不思議なプロペラ）		ッヨ！ 竹ケンダマ 特訓中
	研究科（院）授業
	より専門的な研究を行います 木工を専攻してきた学生はもちろんですが、他の専攻生に対しても研究目的に応じて指導しています
